Join our multi activity holiday and meet like-minded active people who embrace their holiday time and want to get stuck into some great activities. You’ll return with a glow having made the most of your week, full of morning swims, days outdoors, evenings by the firepit with homecooked food and a great group around you!
With early morning swims, morning walks and cycling through the Cotswolds, Stand Up Paddle boarding or canoeing to the pub in the early evening you’ll have a full, active day! Led by our outstanding team of guides who know every route; café stop and canal; the best way to bike out of Bath or the best places to canoe in Oxford.
We’ll get you from platform to pint in 75 minutes, out of London and ready to begin your week. We provide all the equipment you will need; just bring yourself, some active wear and some swim kit, and you’ll be ready to go!
Don’t feel obliged to do all of these activities, if you fancy an afternoon off to stroll along the canal or read your book in the sun – that fits in well with our itinerary too.
If you would like to cycle more miles each day we would be happy to show you some faster ‘racing snake’ routes! Our guides can add more mileage and steeper inclines for those wishing to stretch their legs on this adventure week away!
Many choose to take the train out of London to Bath, a short 1.5 hour direct journey from London Paddington. We’ll book you accommodation in the heart of this beautiful Regency city, with a wealth of restaurants, galleries, theatres and more. Walk along the canals and explore the city in the afternoon and evening. We’ll meet you the next morning ready for your tour to begin.
Take the train out of London to Bath Spa where you’ll meet your guides and group and get to know them walking through the city and over lunch in the centre. We head out for an afternoon bike ride along the Kennet and Avon canal and towards the pretty village of Lacock, with 20, 40 and 50 mile options. We take the short transfer to our basecamp for the evening and stroll over to the Bakers Arms for dinner – it’s one of the best pubs known to mankind! Enjoy your evening getting to know our group and stroll after dinner to our basecamp and your shepherd hut style accommodation.
Begin your Tuesday with a splash, with the option for an early morning wild swim before a hearty home cooked breakfast. In the morning we head next door to the Cotswolds Water Park for a Stand-Up Paddleboard lesson, and lunch in the café by the lake. In the afternoon we walk along the Thames Path and back around to basecamp for the evening. Fire pit Tuesday is our favourite evening on this trip, where you can put your feet up, enjoy a cold beer from the free-beer fridge, and share camp fire stories over a home cooked BBQ dinner.
Early risers can join our early morning yoga session or a wild swim before breakfast. After breakfast at basecamp we head out on our bikes to cycle through the beautiful Cotswolds stopping for lunch at a beautiful Cotswolds pub. In the afternoon we walk out to find the elusive source of the River Thames – who can spot it first! We wander the short stroll to the Baker’s Arms for dinner and return to our wonderful Shepherd’s huts in the evening.
Early risers can join us for a morning swim, splash or Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) session – and some SUP yoga to get the day started, back in the lake before breakfast. The morning bike ride takes us along the Thames Valley with a full ride of 37 miles, and plenty of pick up options for those choosing a shorter cycle. After lunch in a quirky pottery barn we head to our kayaks for a relaxed paddle down the river towards our glamping cabins for the evening, on the outskirts of Oxford. We have a BBQ style fire pit dinner in the evening, with a free beer fridge, out in nature with the stars above and all the home comforts of being indoors!
After breakfast we head out on our SUPs and paddle into the heart of Oxford along the River Thames, towards our picnic lunch in Oxford’s best riverside pub and beer garden. After lunch we head out again along the river, only this time on a punting trip. Test your punting skills or sit back and relax as you are guided downstream. There is an optional tour of Oxford in the afternoon, and we return to our glamping pods to change before final night drinks and dinner out in Oxford.
After breakfast we say farewell and drop off everyone and their luggage to Oxford station, with frequent 50-minute direct departures to London, helping with ongoing travel arrangements.
