Visting England in the Fall - FAQs

Fall in England is fantastic. The weather is generally still good, making it ideal to explore the great British countryside by foot or by bike. Fall mornings in England tend to deliver fabulous misty scenes, with equally brilliant sunsets come the evening. Plus, being slightly out of season, it’s generally quieter and cheaper.

We often get asked about which option to choose so here’s a guide which discusses the difference between self-guided and guided tours in more detail.

Of course! All our trips are open for single travellers to join. You will have a great time on our walking tours whether travelling on your own, as a couple, family or group, meeting like-minded people on our guided trips, or choosing your own adventure on our self-guided tours. “As a single female, I would not hesitate to go on another Active England trip as a solo traveller”.
