The kids will love the historic Roman baths of this World Heritage city. There is so much to explore and discover – from the Sacred Spring to the Great Bath itself, it’s hard not to be impressed. They can also chat with costumed Roman characters and take an audio tour of the baths.
STONEHENGE
This magical and mystical Neolithic monument is a true wonder of the world. The stones alone are enough to create a lifelong impression, but the newly developed site now offers plenty of other child-friendly attractions. The brand new visitor centre offers a variety of permanent and temporary exhibitions as well as the fascinating recreation of Neolithic houses.
THE COTSWOLDS
A wonderful opportunity for your children to experience to beauty and freedom of English rural life. Tranquil and peaceful – it’s a unique chance for you all to appreciate nature at its best.
STRATFORD-UPON-AVON
The birthplace of William Shakespeare. A visit here will mark a milestone in your child’s education. There won’t be many kids at school who’ll be able to say they’ve visited the bard’s historic home.
BLENHEIM PALACE
The striking ancestral home Winston Churchill has plenty to offer all ages. Whilst the grown-ups can appreciate the opulence of the state rooms and marvel at the grand architecture, the younger ones will love the miniature train, maze and butterfly house in the Pleasure Gardens.
OXFORD
Full of brains and beauty, this city is the perfect place to begin your family adventure. The famous colleges, museums and parks will broaden their aspirations. And with films such as Harry Potter and The Northern Lights filmed here, your kids might even recognise some of the sights.
As well as the city and cultural visits we can also lay on some excursions especially for younger ones. They’ll have the chance to splash around at a water park, visit an inland beach and try a spot of trout fishing.
