Swimming Tours in England FAQ
We’re adventure holiday England experts and offer curated, beautiful swimming tours in Devon and Cornwall.
Our swimming tours are moderate, that is to say that its appropriate if you are comfortable with open water swimming or a wild dip. Your holiday will be tailored by your guide to suit your individual preferences. Rewarding views are guaranteed!
We’ll send out kit lists well in advance of all our tours, so you’ll have plenty of time to prepare. While we leave the choice of swimwear up to our guests, we do recommend wetsuits in April through June, as the water can still be chilly during these months. If you prefer to swim without a wetsuit, we do ask for evidence that you’re a regular swimmer before the tour. To improve visibility, we provide brightly colored hats for all guests – tow-floats are mandatory for safety purposes.
Safety is the top priority for our guests. All of our swimming trips are staffed by exper guides. We limit our groups to a maximum of 16 people, with at least one guide per eight swimmers. Guides are always on hand, either on the shore or in a kayak/SUP. All of our guides are fully qualified RLSS lifeguards with up-to-date First Aid qualifications. We never swim unless it’s safe to do so, and our guides use their discretion to decide when to swim based on the tide and weather conditions.
