Diddly Squat, The Farmer’s Dog & Hawkstone. Walk straight onto the set of Clarkson’s Farm
A 6-day Cotswolds Walking Tour that winds through England’s most picturesque villages, past world-famous heritage sites, and straight into the heart of Amazon Prime’s Clarkson’s Farm territory.
While the itinerary features picture-perfect stops such as Oxford, Blenheim Palace and The Cotswolds, it’s the ‘set-jetting’ days that elevate this tour. Fans of the hit TV series will have the opportunity to walk through the fields of Diddly Squat and into Clarkson’s home village of Chadlington, where you can enjoy a coffee at the quaint, independent Cafe de la Post.
As part of the 6-day Clarkson and Cotswolds tour, you will enjoy dinner at The Farmer’s Dog, the newest business venture of Jeremy Clarkson, with the opening of the pub well documented in the latest series of the show.
Whether you’re marvelling at the gardens of Hidcote, strolling past honey-stone cottages in Bibury, or stopping for a pint in the TV presenters’ brewery, ‘Hawkstone Arms’, this Cotswolds tour is Active England’s most charming countryside experience yet, now with a touch of celebrity farming thrown in.

Your Itinerary
Settle into life in England with our pre-trip extension in Oxford, the “city of dreaming spires.” Saunter around the university colleges, explore the botanical gardens or take a sip of Old Rosie at the Turf Tavern, one of Oxford’s oldest pubs. If you have time after all this, take to the water on a punt (a flat-bottomed wooden boat) and travel the short distance from Magdalen Bridge along Christ Church Meadows.

We’ll meet you at Oxford railway station at 10:00 AM to kick off a looped walk along the River Thames, exploring one of the most beautiful university cities in the world. Our guided tour will take you through the renowned Oxford colleges, the Bodleian Library, and Radcliffe Square. Today, we will travel from Moreton-in-Marsh to Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Winston Churchill and a designated World Heritage Site. Designed by the renowned landscape architect Capability Brown, there will be plenty of opportunities to explore the gardens before embarking on a tour of the Palace itself, taking in the exquisite formal Italian Gardens and the Rose Garden. After lunch, we will stroll to the Column of Victory, erected to commemorate the triumph over the French at the Battle of Blenheim. Our final stop of the day is The Farmer’s Dog, Clarkson’s pub, which champions British farming. Carbon Footprint
What’s the Number?
Nearly everything has a carbon footprint. Together with ecollective, we’ve measured the carbon impact of not only every tour we operate but our entire business. We’ve taken into account greenhouse gas emissions across the business including office, travel, website, vehicles, accommodation, activities, food, suppliers…
What does the number mean?
We’re going to improve this by measuring and reducing our footprint each year. That means working with our suppliers to make changes that have a more positive impact on us and the planet. What does this look like in reality?
- Redesign trips to reduce our carbon impact
- Working closely with all our suppliers across England to join us on our decarbonisation journey
- Switching up our vehicle fleet to electric
- Investing in projects that permanently remove carbon from the atmosphere for any emissions that remain.
We’ve got a long way to go but we’re on our way to net-zero
We’re committed to reducing our impact on the planet and working towards a sustainable future. We’ve taken ownership of our carbon footprint and are on a mission to reduce our emissions year on year.
