New Walking Holidays in England

Celebrating National Walking Month This May

This month our whole nation has been getting outdoors and walking. If you are looking to be inspired, then the rolling Cotswold hills are the perfect walking destination. Our rich limestone escarpment is a patchwork quilt of lush green fields, sewn with pale dry stone walls, dotted with dense woodland blocks and stunning views over valleys below.

Our favorite views of May are the carpets of bright yellow rapeseed, woven into the tapestry of fields and reflecting the sun back into the brilliant blue skies. They are enough to brighten anyone’s day!

We have this year brought out a whole new range of Cotswolds Walking Holidays so that our guests can explore our countryside on foot, off of the roads and into the fields. We want guests to peer at the flowers, smell the wild garlic, touch the ancient trees, stomp through the grass, climb the hills and truly experience our Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty up close.

Walking in the Cotswolds – A  100 Mile Walk

Last may our Operations Manager, Frances, took on the challenge of walking the entire length of the Cotswolds escarpment, a whopping 100 miles! Criss-crossing the landscape, she visited many of the points of interest on our tours, from the stunning Hidcote Gardens and the incredible views from Broadway Tower in the North, to the winding descent into the spa town of Bath, all the way to the Roman Spa.
