We are seeking a passionate, creative and analytical Performance Marketing Executive to join our growing marketing team. Working collaboratively, you will market active UK travel experiences to international clients through Google Ads, Meta Ads and Email Marketing. As our Performance Marketing Executive, you will play a vital role in developing, nurturing and converting both B2C and B2B leads. Utilising a 6-figure marketing budget, you will have responsibility for the setup, optimisation and reporting of all paid media activity, ensuring that every pound spent delivers results. Who we are
Active England Tours (AET) is an active travel company providing an unrivalled premium experience for active inbound North American tourists and residents in England. AET runs a high number of beautifully curated, high-end, active tours including guided, self-guided and bespoke cycling, walking, swimming and wellbeing adventures. From our origin in the Cotswolds, we have become the premier provider of active holidays across England. We run trips in Devon, Cornwall, The Lake District, Yorkshire and Northumberland. While running our own direct tours we also work with numerous business partners within the industry, creating and operating their English active holidays. Required skills and abilities
- Proven experience in digital marketing, particularly in B2C marketing for acquisition, engagement, and retention.
- Experience in paid media in an agency or in-house setting, managing search and Facebook campaigns.
- Experience handling budgets of £100k+ and optimising campaigns to deliver strong ROI.
- A keen eye for detail, exceptional organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise multiple projects.
- Experience in both B2C e-commerce and B2B lead generation.
- Experience working with CRM systems to manage lead generation and workflows.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, GA4, and Google Looker Studio or similar
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Creative experience with content creation tools (e.g., Canva)
- A proactive mindset, always looking for new opportunities and ways to push the boundaries of paid media success.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, while also being proactive and autonomous, ensuring marketing initiatives align with business objectives and are delivered independently when needed.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to adopting and leveraging new ad technologies.
- Desirable requirements include. An interest in AI and its applications in digital marketing. An interest in the Travel and/or outdoor industry and knowledge of the UK’s geography, particularly the Cotswolds.
Main responsibilities
- Run paid media activity across Google Ads and Meta, driving profitable growth across B2B and B2C channels.
- Build and execute top-drawer campaigns tailored to business needs – covering keyword research, audience selection, and creative input.
- Continuously analyse performance, delivering weekly insights and quarterly business reviews to drive improvements.
- Identify new opportunities, test innovative strategies, and refine workflows to maximise efficiency and impact.
- Lead the optimisation of existing campaigns across search, social, display, and video—always striving to exceed ROI and CPA targets.
- Stay ahead of the latest paid media trends, ensuring we continue to innovate and lead in digital advertising for sustainability-focused businesses.
- Collaborate closely with the content marketing manager to align marketing goals.
