The English weather has a reputation, we feel that this is undeserved. In fact, so far this year we’ve lost 0 days to rainy conditions.
We’re an optimistic bunch and experience has proven that it very rarely rains all day and 90% of the time when it does rain it is light and showery. If the forecast is really bad we will plan around and either bike or walk earlier or later in the day.
We do not like our guests to get wet in the morning so we may visit the major attraction of the day in the morning, have an early lunch and bike or walk later. It is not so much of an issue in the afternoon when guests ride/walk straight into the hotel.
As our groups have multiple guides, those who don’t like weather “for ducks” can take the dry route and others can still bike or walk – so there is always a choice. And one thing is for sure though, even if you do get a little rained on, the accommodation at all our stops is so lovely that you’ll be warmed up and relaxed in no time upon arrival.
Having said all that the weather is part of our identity and we encourage you to relish it!
