The tour starts at London Paddington railway station where we pick-up all guests from the clock on Platform 1. We then jump on the bus and travel the one hour to Windsor. We step inside the world of Kings and Queens and take in everything Windsor has to offer. Packed with regal history at every turn; home to the Queen and monarchs since 1066, and also the site of Henry VIII’s grave, Windsor is a “must see”.

A beautiful day through the North Cotswolds, via Chipping Campden and the amazing American inspired Hidcote Gardens. We arrive into Stratford in the early afternoon where you’ll get a chance to learn about the life of the great playwright William Shakespeare. Many take the opportunity to ride back in the support vehicle and take the rest of the day off, while many bike back for a total of 39 miles. (There is also an opportunity to watch an play performed by the Royal Shakespeare Company – bookings must be made in advance).

Experience the beauty of the Cotswolds, its chocolate box villages are dotted amongst a patchwork quilt of fields and woods. This area of Outstanding Natural Beauty makes for the perfect relaxed day. We visit the Broadway Tower, Snowshill, through the Slaughters and Bourton on the Water ending the day back at Moreton in the Marsh.

Blenheim Palace is a World heritage site and arguably England’s greatest Palace. The birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, Blenheim has an illustrious history, stunning architecture and beautiful gardens landscaped by Capability Brown. Our route travels through the stunning Cotswolds, cycling right into the Palace ending the day at the market town of Burford.

We cycle through the flatter part of the Cotswolds via Bampton, where all the outdoor shots of Downton Abbey are filmed, arriving into Oxford in the early afternoon. We tour around the City of Oxford, where you’ll get a chance to visit the colleges and learn about its rich history on a walking tour.
Mileage: 25-35 miles
We cycle out of the Cotswolds towards White Horse Hill, Avebury (Stonehenge but bigger). Following our ride we head onto the World Heritage Site and eternal mystery that is Stonehenge for a Neolithic day! There is the opportunity to visit the home of Downton Abbey (Highclere Castle), home to the Carnarvon family and of course the Crawleys, on tours between early July and mid-September.

The route to bath is stunning. We cycle down an old roman road leading right into the centre of this beautiful city. The Roman Baths, Jane Austen, the Georgian architecture including The Royal Crescent are unmissable, as is the shopping! After, many will ride all the way back to the hotel in the support vehicle.

After a later start, we cycle out through the beautiful South Cotswolds on our last ride of the tour. We will then transfer guests to the nearest mainline railway station to enable quick and easy on-going travel (only 1 hour to London).

Further options are available for those who want to stay in a country cottage location or in a selection of hand-picked pubs. Luggage will be transferred between hotels and 5 evening meals are included in this tour.
Bike as much or as little as you like, a support vehicle is with the guided tours at all times. Our guides and mechanics will fix all major equipment issues and get you back on the road as soon as possible. With a fleet of bikes from Giant all bike types, preferences and sizes are catered for. Helmets as standard, just bring you shoes and pedals if you have them and away you go.
