Explore the vibrant cities and towns along the River Thames, by bike, on foot, paddling and in pubs! Guests can relax and watch the world go by as we travel visiting stunning places from Oxford, the River Thames, Churchill’s Blenheim Palace and The Cotswolds, while sample gastronomic delights, wonderful restaurants, real ales and England’s best pub crawl in Oxford.
We collect you at 8.30 from London at Putney Bridge Tube Station and set you up on your bikes, ready to ride out of London towards Windsor, or we can transport you via the support vehicle to cycle around Windsor Great Park.
By bike or on foot we take guests right through Windsor Great Park, before having a full tour of Windsor Castle and a good look around the town. In the evening we have reservations at Heston Blumenthal’s amazing Fat Duck restaurant – awarded three Michelin stars, restaurant of the year, Best Restaurant in the World and Best Restaurant in the UK. It’s an experience not to be missed!
Our hotel for the night is in an old brewery at the Hotel du Vin in Henley on Thames.

A range of activities is the order of the morning – you can either canoe, paddle-board, boat, walk or bike from Henley on Thames also giving you time to explore this archetypal Thames side town. In the afternoon you are more than welcome to have some R+R or head off for another bike ride, have a round of golf or boat on the river – it’s totally up to you! The overnight accommodation and dinner is at the Hotel Du Vin.

Guests are encouraged to walk into the stunning city of Oxford in the morning before having a walking tour of this stunning city, visiting the colleges, museums, the Harry Potter and Alice in Wonderland locations and soaking up its unique atmosphere. In the late afternoon we head off on a punting expedition on the river. Punting is a typically English affair, where you push a long pole into the river bed and push yourself along. With riverside pub at the end and then a punt back to a wonderful restaurant on the river for dinner, Oxford makes for a perfect day. Accommodation is in a former prison where guests stay in the cells – the Malmaison.

We head off by bike, or walking, to Blenheim Palace, home to Winston Churchill and some of the best gardens England has to offer. After lunch we head back to the river and kayak or paddleboard back into Oxford in the late afternoon via the stunning Port Meadow. Once back in Oxford we embark on the Oxford Pub Crawl – 3 or 4 of the most atmospheric pubs we know including the pub where bill Clinton smoked dope but did not inhale – really!? Dinner is on the rooftop of the famous Ashmoleum Museum.

After a leisurely breakfast the tour ends and transfers are made to on-going destinations. Most go back to London on the train or to London Heathrow, on the bus. We are on hand to give you all the information you need for your on-going travel.

Bike, walk or paddle as much or as little as you like, a support vehicle is with the guided tours at all times and a daily “bailout” option on the self-guided tours ensures guests only need to travel the miles that suit them.

If you choose to bike, we have a fleet of bikes from Giant and flat bar, drop bar, road, hybrid and e-bike options all bike types are catered for. Helmets as standard, just bring your shoes and pedals, if you have them, and away you go.
