Transfer out to The Cotswolds via Castle Combe, arguably the prettiest village in the Cotswolds for lunch at The Castle Inn before hiking between some of the best, unknown Cotswold villages off the tourist trail. Meet a local dry stone walling expert, before arriving at your first hotel, Lucknam Park for dinner at The Brasserie.
Walk from Ashwicke to Bath, meandering along the canal, for lunch, before an afternoon spent exploring this ancient Roman city with a local expert. We will journey back to Lucknam Park for a spot of wine tasting before enjoying a Michelin dining experience at Hywel Jones.
We will travel northward through the Cotswolds to the Slad Valley where we follow in Laurie Lee’s footsteps as we traverse this beautiful hideaway. We lunch at an award winning pub in Slad before tracking back to Painswick for a night at the hotel.
We will transfer to Cheltenham for a hike around Cleeve Hill to Belas Knapp before lunch at The Lion Inn in Winchcombe. In the afternoon we will visit Sudley Castle to learn about its 1000 years of fascinating and pivotal English history. We will enjoy dinner at The Falcon Inn.
Heading across country for our final day in Oxford, where we will begin with a local walking tour of this city to unearth the unusual hidden gems. We will then tread along the historic hallways of Oxford University’s famous collages, before an early evening champagne punting race along the Thames.
Sadly the time has come for your last morning with us. We bid you farewell from Oxford for a quick transfer (via car or train) to London.
