Our Multi Activity Adventure Weekends are for like-minded active people who embrace weekends and want to get stuck into some great activities. You’ll go home with a glow having made the most of your long weekend, full of morning swims, days outdoors, evenings around the firepit with home-cooked food and a great group around you!
Only an hour from London, Bristol and the Midlands, join a group of active people heading straight into the Cotswolds, for a wide range of activities. We’ve made this trip hassle free – providing all the equipment you will need; just bring yourself, some active wear and some swim kit, and you’ll be ready to go!
Guided by our expert and friendly team, you’ll be set for a relaxed but active Cotswolds weekend. We know every route, café stop and canal; the best way to bike and walk into Oxford or the best way to canoe out and, of course, the best Cotswold pubs known to mankind!
Don’t feel obliged to do all of these activities, if you fancy an afternoon off to stroll along the canals or read your book in the sun – that fits in well with your Cotswolds itinerary too.
If you would like to cycle more miles each day we would be happy to show you some faster ‘racing snake’ routes! Our guides can add more mileage and steeper inclines for those wishing to stretch their legs on this adventure weekend away!
Many choose to wave goodbye to work on a Thursday evening as we get you from Platform to Pint in 75 minutes or less! Take the train out of London to Oxford where we can book you accommodation in the heart of this ‘City of Dreaming Spires’. Walk along the river and explore the city in the afternoon and evening. We’ll meet you the next morning ready for your bike ride out of Oxford and into the Cotswolds.
We meet you off the train or in Oxford and start the day off with an easy-going cycle out of Oxford as you get to know the group, riding along the rivers and canals and into the Cotswolds. We eat lunch in a quirky pottery barn before canoeing and kayaking along the Thames in the afternoon. A beautiful stretch of this river, we finish our paddle in the cute town of Lechlade and head from here to our glamping basecamp nearby. We eat out for dinner in the Bakers Arms, a short stroll from basecamp and with a great menu, selection of local beers and a warm atmosphere; the perfect chance to relax into your Cotswolds weekend away.
Start your Saturday with a Splash and join us for a morning swim, Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) session, or SUP yoga session before breakfast. Refreshed after a wholesome breakfast we head out for a relaxed cycle ride into the Cotswolds, with 20, 30 or 40+ mile options to suit all. We have lunch in Sapperton, in one of the best pubs there is, The Bell, and head out for an afternoon walk through woodland, across streams and back towards our basecamp. Fire pit Saturday is our favourite evening, where you can put your feet up, enjoy a cold beer from the free-beer fridge, and share campfire stories over a homecooked BBQ dinner.
Early risers can join us for a swim or SUP in the next door lake and after breakfast we head out of camp on foot to find the elusive source of the Thames (we challenge you to find it first!). We then trace the Thames onwards, walking to a local Cotswolds pub for lunch. After lunch we say our farewells, dropping everyone and their luggage off at Kemble Station and helping with ongoing travel arrangements. There are frequent 1.5 hour direct trains to get you back into London in time for tea.
