Cotswolds 4 Day Multi Activity Itinerary
Day 1The City of Bath and Cycling the Kennet and Avon Canal
Wave goodbye to London (or wherever you’re catching the train from) on a Monday as we get you from Platform to Pub lunch in 75 minutes or less! Many will take the train out of London to Bath Spa where you’ll meet your guides and group and get to know them over lunch in this spa city. We head out for an afternoon bike ride along the Kennet and Avon canal and towards the pretty village of Lacock, with 20, 40 and 50 mile options. We take the short transfer to our basecamp for the evening and stroll over to the Bakers Arms for dinner in one of the best pubs known to mankind! Enjoy your evening getting to know our group and stroll after dinner to our basecamp and your shepherd hut style accommodation.
Day 2SUP on the Lake, Thames Path Walk, Fire pit BBQ dinner under the stars
Begin your Tuesday with a splash and an early morning swim before breakfast. In the morning try out Stand Up Paddle-boarding (SUP) in the next door lake. After lunch in the café overlooking the stunning lake, we’ll hop onto the Thames Path and walk along the river for a relaxed afternoon stroll back towards our basecamp. Fire pit Tuesday is our favourite evening on this trip, where you can put your feet up, enjoy a cold beer from the free-beer fridge, and share campfire stories under the stars and over a home cooked BBQ dinner.
Day 3Early morning yoga, Morning cycling, finding the source of the River Thames
Early risers can join us for some yoga to get the day started before breakfast. This morning’s bike ride takes us in a stunning loop around Cirencester and Sapperton, leading us to lunch in a great pub, loved by travellers and locals alike. We take a walk in the afternoon to discover the elusive source of the River Thames. See who can spot it first! The evening sees us on a wander to the village pub for a cosy night indoors.
Day 4Cycling the Thames Valley and farewells
After an early morning swim option, our morning’s bike ride takes us along the Thames valley with a full ride of 37 miles, and plenty of pick up options for those choosing a shorter cycle. After lunch in a quirky pottery barn we take you to the outskirts of Oxford where we drop off everyone and their luggage to Oxford station, with frequent 50-minute direct departures to London.

The best way out of London and into the Cotswolds on a Monday evening is by train, out of London Paddington, directly into Bath station. We’ll get you from Platform to Pub Lunch in 75 minutes. Our multisport weeks begin in Bath, a short direct journey and, on Monday afternoons, we head out on our bikes, kayaks or canoes into the countryside.
Can I join this weekend trip on my own, as a single traveler?
Absolutely! We bring like-minded people together on these trips, to enjoy a group atmosphere, get stuck into some great activities, watersports, hikes and to share a well-deserved meal with at the end of each day.
How fit do I need to be for an active trip?
Our tours are designed for those looking for an active weekends, mini-breaks and weeks away. All activities can be adapted but a ‘give it a go’ attitude goes a long way! Some of our water sports activities require a basic ability to swim 50-100 meters. If you would like to chat to one of our team about your particular trip, fitness level and what is involved in coming on one of our tours, please get in touch and we would be happy to help.
What do I need to bring?
We provide a kit list before your trip with us.
