Blenheim Palace

A big thanks to Blenheim Palace…

As we continue to develop our services and routes we wanted to show our gratitude to the powers that be at Blenheim Palace, Britain’s Greatest Palace, for allowing Active England to bike through the gate at the north of the Palace’s 2000 acres on our 2016 tours.

Not only has this gesture given our guests an outstanding vista of the Palace, the Column of Victory and Capability Brown’s magnificent landscape, it has also enabled us to eliminate the final busy road from our 235 miles, eight-day tour.

Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Winston Churchill, steeped in history and intrigue has long been a favourite of Active England’s guests and we look forward to biking, walking and exploring its charms into 2017 and beyond. Active England’s tours visit all of the following places in its iconic eight-day tour, Windsor and Windsor Great Park, Oxford, Blenheim Palace, Shakespeare’s Stratford, Highclere Castle (Downton Abbey), Bath, Stonehenge and the Cotswolds.

With thanks to John Hoy and his team.
