We believe in providing unparalleled active family experiences through the magnificent English Countryside. It is the mix of biking and additional activities with the opportunity to visit some of the most iconic places of interest – Windsor Castle, Oxford, Stratford Upon Avon, The Cotswolds, Blenheim Palace, Bath Stonehenge and Downton Abbey – which sets AET apart and immerses our guests in England at its finest.
On our Classic, 8-day tour, guests visit all the places mentioned above, through the gently rolling countryside with routes to suit all ages and abilities. With further tours available for either 6 days or 3 days through the Cotswolds our tours, for 2018, extend down the West Way out of London to Bath and into Devon and Cornwall.
With biking for part of each day, there are a range of exciting additional activities including canoeing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, water based inflatable obstacle courses, as well as mazes, farm parks, the Harry Potter Dining Hall and many other attractions along the way. Some families also branch out to Harry Potter World, Legoland and other attractions – just ask and we will do our best to help.
Fully guided, to us means exactly that – our guides will be with you at all times and with a support vehicle always on hand, guests are able to jump in at any time. All local, with outstanding knowledge of the area, our guides are the heartbeat of our tours and will be on hand to support guests from first thing in the morning to last thing at night. They know every bend in the road, stile, footpath and every cafe and pub (well not maybe all!) along the route. See Trip Advisor to see what our guests have to say…
My 15/yo daughter and I took the five day trip through the Cotswolds this August. We had a wonderful time. The rides were hilly and challenging for this out-of-shape cyclist, but just right for my daughter. The guides have me plenty of encouragement and I was able finish each day’s ride. It was a nice mix of rides, plus sight seeing. We saw Windsor Castle, Blenheim Palace, Hicote, Oxford and many charming villages. The accommodations were very comfortable and food was great. All-in-all, I’d do this again.
