Active England are looking for brilliant people to join our growing active travel business. We’re a close-knit team of experts and enthusiasts who love their work! We specialise in creating unforgettable active tours and holiday packages throughout England. We’re looking for driven and engaging ‘people’ to join our expanding team in 2023.
Responsibilities
Our freelance guides are the heart of our tours – we couldn’t do what we do without tour leaders! Our guides lead guests through wonderful landscapes, show them hidden gems and take them to the best pubs, cafes and restaurants for well-earned refreshments.
Qualifications
All our guides receive full training and relevant courses including First Aid, Private Hire Licence, Cycle UK Leader, Basic Bike Maintenance. If you already have First Aid or any Walking or Cycling qualifications then that’s even better but it’s not essential. Guides must be 25 or over, hold a UK driving licence and love people! We are looking for a real mixture of people with diverse interests – so if you’re a wild swimmer / hiker / cyclist / kayaker or even a forager then we’d love to hear from you.
What to expect
Tour guiding is a way of working in a busy, dynamic, fun and engaging working environment! Some days our guides are leading guests walking through the Cotswolds to a champagne toast in the local museum, other days you are leading a group hiking over the tallest peaks in the Lake District in pouring rain.
