Spend the evenings in the best pubs known to man, or around the fire pit, with home cooked, local food. The tour is fuelled by good company, led by our wonderful and fully trained guides, and is a magical six day journey that you’ll remember for a lifetime.

England Adventure Holidays - Your Way!

“At your own pace” is our motto. You can choose can choose to push yourself on a daily basis with plenty of different options available, including early morning swims or longer bike rides, or travel at a more leisurely pace, drinking in the wonderful views and immersing yourself in the rivers as they meander their way to the sea.

Each day there is a programme of activity which is completely flexible. Don’t feel obliged to do all the activities and if you fancy an afternoon off to stroll along the beach or read your book in the sun – that’s no problem at all.

Evenings are relaxed – either in the local and atmospheric pubs, or around the firepit – and designed for you to completely unwind with like-minded people and good cheer all round!

Top things you need to know before starting your Source to Sea Adventure

What is a Source to Sea Holiday?

A Source to Sea Adventure is a new type of holiday, charting the course of some of our wonderful rivers -bringing a focus for the adventurous, with multi-activity days allowing guests to try water sports, cycling and more as well as getting to know a group of like minded people round the fire-pit in the evening. There is scope for experienced paddlers and cyclists to push themselves, while beginners can get a taste of new sports, from hill walking in the high ground, to SUP’ing on the estuaries, or coasteering the cliffs. Our guides look after all the details, allowing you to push yourself – or simply relax – and take in life in the great outdoors.

What is the best way to get to the start of the Adventures?

The best way out to our adventures is either by train, on the trainline which starts at London Paddington, either through Bristol or down to the South West to Exeter or by car where we can advise on parking nearby. We’ll advise on the best times to travel to avoid any rush hour traffic and if pre-tour accommodation is a good idea.

Should I arrive ready to get stuck in?

Yes! We’ll get straight to the activities once you arrive, so please arrive ready to go! We’ll send out a kit list in advance so you’ll know exactly what to bring with you, both clothes and any personal equipment such as wetsuits or tow floats. Evenings are really relaxed and their is no need for any smart clothes!

What do I need to bring on my adventure holiday, do you have a kit list?

For all our tours we will send out kit lists in plenty of time before your tour. We provide all the equipment so you won’t need to bring anything other than enthusiasm, some trainers you are willing to get a bit wet, some normal swimming kit, comfortable walking and cycling clothes and we’ll do the rest!

Can I join as a solo traveller?

All our trips are open for single travellers to join, these trips are a great way to meet social, likeminded people, active and looking for a great holiday. “As a single female, I would not hesitate to go on another Active England trip as a solo traveller”. S.G.
